Los Compadres
, formed in 2004 by enthusiastic amateurs of everything theatrical,
seek more members to put on more productions and not just those who
wish to strut on stage or sing and dance. We rely heavily on those
who can saw wood, paint things and build props, people who are
clever with a needle and thread, scissors and things to make
costumes, and “techie types” who know how to operate lights and
sound equipment or even how to fix a plug. Above all else we want
people who enjoy the company of others, who find pleasure mixing
with a sociable crowd getting enjoyment from amateur theatre,
without any “precious” theatrics.
With the
generous assistance of local businesses and the generosity of our
audiences, Los Compadres take pleasure in being in a position to
make regular donations to local charities and that adds to the value
of taking an active role in Los Compadres.
So pick up
the phone and call Tony/Wendy on 952516288 or Grace on 952553621,
and we’ll be delighted to give you all the details you’ll need to
have some fun by becoming involved in Competa’s very own theatrical
group “Los Compadres”
