Chris Kajtrop was born in Stockholm on the 12th of July, 1943. Her father was a painter and she started painting at an early age. In 1956, she put on her first exhibition in the technique of Batik. At the age of 17, she studied art in Stockholm and after several small exhibitions in her home town and Stockholm; she left Sweden and settled in Majorca in 1970. She continued designing clothes, including the costumes for the musical “Hair” when the show appeared Palma de Majorca. From 1978 to 1979, she studied graphic arts at the Kyrkerud school of Art in Värmland, Sweden. She then spent her time traveling Europe but it was Spain that captured her passion. She has lived here 26 years. Since 2006, she has been living in Canillas de Albaida, a mountain village in Andalucia. Her last exhibit was in the neighboring village of Còmpeta in 2007.

Chris Kajtrop nació en
Estocolmo el 12 de julio de 1943. Su padre era pintor y ella comenzó a
pintar a una edad muy temprana. En 1956, hizo su primera exposición en la
técnica del batik. A la edad de 17 años, fue a estudiar arte en Estocolmo y
después de varias pequeñas exposiciones en su ciudad natal Estocolmo; se
marcho de Suecia y se estableció en Mallorca en 1970. Chris continuó
diseñando ropa, incluyendo los vestuarios para el musical “HAIR” cuando se
presento en Palma de Mallorca . Desde 1978 a 1979, estudió artes gráficas en
